Why don't you just ask, "Will all morons please come forward?" I mean, who's zoomin' who? ANYONE who's out on the street at night riding a bike, running or skateboarding is clearly a moron, especially with the way the OTHER morons in Columbus drive.

I do not, but I have a comment regarding some who do. We live in Galloway and my partner is getting off work at 5 a.m. in Obetz. His route home takes him off 270 onto Georgesville Road and then across Hall Road. There are no sidewalks on Hall Road, and it is dark when he leaves and dark when he comes home this time of year. There are always several people walking along that route with dark boots, dark pants and dark coats. We are constantly amazed that there haven't been more deaths or injuries along that stretch of road.

I've almost hit some person who likes to run before the sun comes up on a state highway.....this persons reflective gear only works when the HIGHBEAMS are on, when low lights are applied, you don't see him until it's too late.....come on, a STATE HIGHWAY, two lane? Running towards traffic, have you lost your mind? Crazy people anyway...almost cause ME to wreck my car after swerving at the last minute to avoic hitting them.

Ironically, the most dangerous part of my run is in school zones. Moms in SUV's dropping kids off who fail to look right before turning right. It is far safer for me to run in the dark.

Children that wait for busses in the early morning hours on the street (because of snow-covered sidewalks) should also wear some sort of reflective gear. I drive to work early in the morning and there are kids waiting for the school bus in dark clothes. You can't see them until you're right on top of them, and if the street is slippery it could be disastrous. It's not only runners, etc that need a dose of common sense.

When we walk after dark, we avoid roads that aren't well-lit. In fact, we try to avoid the main roads altogether. We use the various parks and trails where there aren't any cars. I'd never walk on a major road after dark unless wearing reflective gear.

Even when these post-sunset idiots wear reflective gear, drivers can't distinguish who or what they are until the very last minute. Running, walking or biking on the road at sunset or after is a death wish. And you'll ruin the driver's life, too.

I bike after dark with front and back lights, front and back wheel reflectors and a light on my bag. I don't bike in inclement weather. I follow the rules while biking, and I would encourage other cyclists to do the same.

Do I walk, bike, jog or skate in town after dark? Nope, just urinate on the neighbor's prized rose garden from time to time.
He ALWAYS complains about why his roses never seem to grow well and mine explode with blooms.
