You people really need a new program to get money out of us tourists. Most of us are coming from towns that are booming and a few extra bucks wouldn't be noticed. So charge these people to ride on your roads and make them prove that they have insurance, or give them a ticket. Most of us also come down to have fun riding the trails and the last thing we want to do is be a nuissance in town.
Totally agree. I come 6 hours with several friends and ATV's. We obey the laws, use hand signals for turning (when on road) and spend a load of cash. If it was required to pay a town bond or sponsored insurance to drive my ATV on the road I would pay it.$10 or $20 a year from EVERYONE who wants to ride would bring in a lot of money. It would make it easier than trailering to and from the trailhead every day. BTW I have all my teeth and make a six figure salary. Riding ATV's is a hobby for a lot of different types of people- please do not lump us all together.

They have no right banning them from roads. At least not for short hauls. Tractors & constructions equipment use roads. They make you register, insure & plate ATV's but want to ban them from the road. Well, EVERY single ATV owner should ban together & start driving on the road constantly, & when confronted by police, make them give chase. Just make sure your near on off road escape route. Oh, & if they aren't allowed on roads, they have NO right making you PAY to get a plate. Refuse to plate & register (but not insure) them, forcing the state to lose the money. All the worthless bastards do is tax tax tax, take take take, & give less & less in return. They suck the life blood of hard working tax payers & constantly complain they are underpaid & then have the audacity to dictate how we live, all WITHOUT our CONSENT! If they pass laws with out consulting us, I say they don't apply to us. It's time we stop asking, pleading & humbly begging & start taking what we want, need, work hard for, deserve & are entitled to! Within reason of course. No violence (unless in self defense) & no theft.
