Your name rings a bell. I think you me and Girma Lemma (now in Canada) were same school year in Dibza High School. grade 11- 1966 E.C. and Grade 12 in 1969. I left DM at the end of 1966 and returned back for three months in 1969.
By the way I have wrote a novel by the title "Kenja Fikr" (which traces places in DM) and it received a warm welcome from readers here in Edmonton, Canada and not it is on sale in Ethiopia.

I love DM very much. When I think of Debremarkose, I feel about to burst in to tears.I attended my education from grades 6th to 11th there.I was a powerful figure in all schools: elementary, junior secondary and high school.I stood 1st from all sections in all grades(6th - 11th). You can't believe it. After graduating my degree in AAU, I left Ethiopia for further education in Europe where I'm now. DM is very great full to me. Long live Debremarkos!

Thanks for your words. The so called ''DM university''( fake university) is one of those such as Semera uni, Jijiga uni, Dessie-kombolcha uni, etc, is one of the ''universities'' which the ethino-centric regime of TPLF( Tigrean people's Liberation Front)deceives Ethiopians in the name of educational development. The standard of these so called universities is much less than the high schools of our time( 1980's-1990's). Most Students of Amhara origin are forced to join such stupid so called universities while Tigreans are previllaged to join universities of AA, Bahir Dar, Gondar, Alemaya, Jimma, Awasa..

The reason is because they consider Amhara their number one enemy and want to destroy any fabric of that 'yeferedebet' people. I swear to GOD this is absolutely true.

Debre Markos Town has designed to be the owner of
Multipurpose Hall
Debre Markos town is found at the central place of the federal and regional state capitals of Ethiopia .
The town is endowed with good climatic condition. The hospitable nature of the society and cheap living expense makes living so comfortable.
Although many facilities are fulfilled and many places to be visited, it lacks assembly hall to entertain guests for national and international meeting.
By now, the town administration has decided to build modern multi-purpose hall that encompasses many things inside with more than 50 million Ethiopian Birr.
For this, the people of Debre Markos town and lovers of the city are expected to contribute their share to put history for their beloved town.
