Greek euro exit could cause a second credit crunch for UK, says finance chief
Robert Chote, head of the Office for Budget Responsibility, said Greek withdrawal could spark a rerun of the dramatic lending squeeze Britain may be plunged into a recession and repeat of the credit crunch from which it will 'never' fully recover if Greece quits the euro, a leading Government adviser warned last night.
