Just great.

The DC political gangsters are too connected to hang by the neck.

Looks like they got away with the crime of the decade: 9/11, Iraq and Afghan.

Boy, Iran lucked out.

Only one man may have enough to get the political killers: Obama.

But don't count on it.

So why aren't these guys being charged in the US for war crimes? There's little doubt they're guilty. Bush should be tried for treason, on many different issues, also.

Bush is guilty; but no foreign nation has standing to prosecute an American president.

Now that is the truth. No one is strong enough.

The definition of torture and the penalties for perpetrating it are clear.

God, Republicans under Bush sure did drag this country into the sewer. We may never recover.

Because..there were not any crimes committed. Just a lot of liberal democrat accusations about anything and everything! had crimes been committed, charges would have been filed long ago. In addition, most of Congress would also be charged as well!!! By the way...this is Obama's war now...get over Bush already...LMAO!

A hero you say?

So tell me tough guy, if you have a confrontation with someone do you go across town to someone else's house, who has NOTHING to do with it so YOUR family doesn't get hurt?

That is about as cowardly an excuse to invade Iraq as I've ever seen. You dishonest people make me ashamed to be a US citizen.

Iraq had -0- to do with 9/11.

That is incorrect. The law is very specific about torture and what is permitted. You can ignore it if you want but you can't arbitrarily change definitions and laws to avoid prosecution. At least that's how it used to be. Our politicians are afraid of what investigations would mean in the next election.

If a Democrat had tried to legalize torture Republicans would already have impeachment proceedings drawn up and submitted.

By the way, Republicans have made torture part of their party platform. That's clear enough for me.

Iraq will aways be Bush's war.

The crimes were the authorization of torture, and the Obama administration does not have the stomach to conduct a criminal trial of the Bush cabinet, which would quickly become politicised.

It looks like the criminal torturers will get away with it.

And courts in Spain should have legal jurisdiction over activities in the middle east and Cuba, because.....?

That would be a fun extradition attempt. Fun to watch and laugh at, that is.

Indeed. It's a shame too. I never thought the United States would be responsible for LOWERING the level of human rights in the world.

Yeah, I hear ya... all those reporters' heads that American terrorists sawed off with steak knives... oh, and those honor killings when Americans catch their daughters talking to boys. Oh, yeah, and all those trains loaded with commuters that Americans bombed. Then there's the fact that Americans don't let their women show their face in public or even walk beside their men or even walk into a Starbucks to order a coffee for that matter. Then there's the American cities full of American citizens that the Presidential Guard killed with nerve gas when they spoke out against his politics. Oh, and don't forget the way Americans actually do physically torture our soccer players by making them walk on broken glass and whipping their feet whenever they lose a game. Yeah, human rights have certainly suffered far more greatly at the hands of Americans than any other...
