It was my honor and privilege to speak out on behalf of the DACA recipients and their dreams and aspirations. My ancestors came here on a "potato boat" to escape the famine in Ireland - their children didn't have a say in their parents' desire to keep them alive and give them a future, and neither did our Dreamers. Congress owes it to those young people to give them a way forward, and a future free of fear that they are going to be punished for their parents' simple desire to keep their children alive and safe. We became a great nation, based on the fact that so many of our ancestors came here and worked hard to make this a better place than what they left behind, and it would behoove us to honor that hard work and determination, not condemn and punish it.

I have friends and family that are illegal aliens, and I know that they deserve to be here just as we do. These children had no way to stop their parents from bringing them here, and they should not be punished for the actions of their parents," activist Jodi O'Connell said.

But as adults they can apply for a legal visa, back in their country. Being snuck into the country as kids does not mean a life time free ride.

These illegal aliens have a country, a government. There are over 7 billion people on the planet. What if all thought the same way to bring themselves and children here. The US owes these illegal aliens nothing. They get a free US education and they are still not grateful.

Americans have no respect for criminals. If you are here illegally you are as guilty of crime as a bank robber, or murderer. Go home apply to return legally, but you cannot pretend to be an American by any stretch of your imagination.

You are right to a certain degree. Send the illegal alien parents back and the children can follow them if they want to. Anyone want to guess what percentage of the "daca" kids, who have had children now, are on public aid? Anyone? I know the stats and they have turned out to be mostly sponges on our Great Nation... just dragging us and our school systems down. They've been doing this decade after decade. Slow erosion. They don't deserve to be here. Your comments just cheapen the value of American Citizenship.

Well, spytheweb, I misread your previous post. Sorry about that misunderstanding. I agree with this post wholeheartedly. Many illegals are demanding rights as if they are legal citizens. Infuriates me. California can have them all.

It took 40 + years, but what I said back then is coming true. I told the farmers & others this cheap labor you are getting from these Illegals are going to hurt your children & grand children.
These Politicians of Border states and else where saw these people coming into the Country. The Sheriff, Congressman/woman, Senators done nothing---All because these people work for me or a friend. They were the ones with the money and gave them a job right. They (the rich) cut my pay check I didn't. Now look what you got.
Where the Mexicans SCREW UP: They wanted to make many of these Border States------Mexico (Mexican Culture) ok. They thought we have 10---12 kids and we will take our land back. They didn't understand the war was fought and they lost and even got paid money for the property. Do I think it was right yes & no.
But who lost the most? THE NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN. And I mean they LOST ALL OF AMERICA. North to South---East to West.
We had laws back in the 1800's so many Immigrants could enter the country. But GREED took over, just like it is now. Later WG

This Rep. John Ratcliffe I don't, is he related to Rep. Bill Ratcliffe? If so Bill saw the late "Bo" Pilgrim a big chicken farmer pass out money to Congressmen in Austin, Texas. Kind of stating I can buy you. That is when the Illegal problem really got started. Him and Tyson, one was ask: Is your workers Legal? They said: I don't know.
The key to the answer is WE DON'T KNOW AND DON'T CARE. WE GOT SOME CHEAP LABOR AND WE ARE MAKING MONEY. These guys even took American's farms getting them into debt so deep they couldn't pay out.
Now tell me how many of these people are or was a LIBERAL DEMOCRAT? Later WG
