It has recently come to my attention, that blogymate.com sells my historical novel "LA PLEVITSKAYA" (A Gypsy singer in Tsarist Russia and in exile) for ipad and as pdf. I have never released this work in these formats, not for free and not for sale. They are not authorised to do that, I do not get any royalties from that - it is plain and simple THEFT.

I have no idea where they might have had those files from and neither do I have any idea how to stop them.

Has anyone got any experience how to shut these blogymate thieves down?

I am currently working on the German version and aim to get it on the German kindle, but then I will have to guarantee exclusivity. How on earth can one stop cyber criminals like blogymate? It appears from other posts, that blogymate is also distributing malware and spyware - shouldn't they have been fined out of existence by now?

BEWARE - DON'T PURCHASE FILES FROM FRAUDSTERS BLOGYMATE

Since that first post, I have asked them to remove the offering, and they said they did. But it popped up on a second page - again I asked them to remove it, but this time they did not send confirmation that they had. Today, I find yet another page on blogymate with the fraudulent offering of my book.

The accompanying scribe contains text parts which look like serially produced texts for all manner of book or file offerings. They contain sentences which are complete fanatsy, strengthening the suspicion that blogymate is part of a criminal network. If they had something legit to offer, their pages would be filled with that.

Further research since that first discovery has also revealed that blogymate disseminates virusses, illegal software, and possibly child porn.

I could not test the offering of my files. Who wants to register with that kind of joint and pay money for downloading a file that could be dodgy. The only place who had access to the pdf, except for the printers, was google books. Could they have had it from there or from lulu, who never delete them, only retire them?

With an outfit like blogymate being part of a criminal network, you could purchase these files, and then find they are a front for terrorists (Dubai!), child porn, or malware for sniffing out bank data. Beware - don't purchase files from fraudsters blogymate.

There is so much surveillance on the net these days, but fraudulent blogymate site is still active - unbelievable.

I forgot to mention that the only legitimate source for my historical novel about Nadezhda Plevitskaya is:

Internet pirates targeting me again - Fraudster warning

Part ONE: Last time I looked the illegal offers on blogymate seemed to have been deleted completely. Thank you, and I hope that they do not pop up again with new pages like it happened before. I will also search the internet for other illegal digital offers of my Plevitskaya book.

All digital offers for 'LA PLEVITSKAYA' are unauthorised and therefore illegal. I have only released my work in trad book form.

Unfortunately other fraudsters have discovered my novel within a very short time of publication, i.e. the German edition. The German amzon (amazon.de) has a listing where the publisher has fraudulently been listed as Theoklesia Llc, an outfit who promotes Jesus.

Yes, you are reading correctly, a religious enterprise has initiated a fraudulent listing and claims to be the publisher.

I am the publisher of my two books:'La Plevitskaya - A Gypsy singer in Tsarist Russia and in Exile'( ISBN-13: 978-1456553876) and the German edition:'Nadeschda Plewitzkaja - Die Hofsaengerin des Zaren wird zur Spionin'(ISBN-13: 978-0975737262).

Unfortunately, the fraudulent entry by Theoklesia has already migrated to other sites. They don't let you look inside the book, as on the legitimate page on amazon.com , because you would discover that Theoklesia is NOT the publisher.

Especially annoying is their excessive price for my book which would obviously drive customers away.
'Nadeschda Plewitzkaja' should not cost more than € 13.50, but the fraudulent Theoklesia listings charge about 40 % or more than the proper price.

It sounds like a joke that a prayerbook joint like Theoklesia should try to fatten themselves up at my expense, but that is exactly what's happening. It will be difficult to get rid of all these fraudulent listings as they have already penetrated the web. I will keep trying with amazon.com and amazon.de, have already filled in a number of forms in English and in German but so far the robots at the receiving end have not acted - yet?

I should feel flattered that my work is attracting attention but the attention of fraudsters is, unfortunately not a compliment.(End of Part ONE).

Internet pirates targeting me again - Fraudster warning

Part TWO: I have wondered where Theoklesia would have stolen my internal text file to sell my book, but have they?

It looks a lot more likely that this young 'Christian' enterprise is a front, for 1. organised crime, or 2. terrorists, or 3. indiginous who think they can get away with anything. Maybe the FBI should look into it. Hopefully it is not a front for a CIA operation - but would they resort to stealing my work?

It would not be too difficult to download my cover images, as they have obviously done, and then sell a book which contains child porn, bomb making, encryption instructions, lists of dead letterboxes, or other consipratorial information. Each time they get an order, they verify by phone that the order is from one of their network and if by mistake one conspiratory copy gets through to a customer, they just apologize, claim printer error, and order a direct delivery from my legitimate amazon.com page.

In summary, do not buy anything from Theoklesia, because they are fraudsters in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The only legitimate ways to get my historical novel about Russian Gypsy singer Plevitskaja are these:
GERMAN EDITION:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss...
ENGLISH EDITION:

http://www.amazon.com/Plevitskaya-Gypsy-singe...

Theoklesia don't know who they took on here. My demands for punitive damages for a fraudulent act, loss of reputation by being associated with a fraudulent outfit like Theoklesia, loss of revenue, remuneration for the time that it costs me to deal with this matter and whatever else my attorney can think of will be substantial.

Hi Almuth, thanks for posting this. I've just published my first book and was happy to see it at amazon.com . At the .com there is my publishing-company name, but at the german website amazon.de it says Theoklesia as publisher. The price is much higher. There is also another seller who's selling a 'used' copy (publisher: Theoklesia), but how is this possible, the book is just for sale one week?
I'm gonna work on it and keep you updated.

Hello Everybody,

I am terribly sorry for your situation, mainly that our company is incorrectly listed as the Publisher of your title. I assure you this was not of our doing and we are doing what we can to rectify this situation that is affecting several other titles from several other publishers. No we did not unlawfully steal your content and publish it under our imprint. And now we are not a front for internet pirates and organized crime.

By chance, are these titles Lightning Source titles? So far we have narrowed down the problem to a massive data integrity problem with Lightning Source, as a few other publishers have contacted us regarding a similar problem. If they are from LS, I would urge you to 1) let us know so we can add this to our research; and 2) contact and complain to your LS service representative.

Again, I am sorry for your situation, but I assure you were are doing what we can to recitify this situation for you as much as for us.

Jeremy,

While you're correcting this issue from within, would you please address the title Tales Of Old Japanese, written by Hugh Ashton, ISBN -10: 0615624294? This is published by and copyright held by Inknbeans Press. We have advised our printer (NOT LSI) and our distributors, but we would appreciate it if you would take necessary steps to remove this title from your distribution and any Amazon Marketplace listings.

Thank you.

Have they addressed this? On the CreateSpace thread Theoklesia's 'spokesperson' tells me it is up to ME to rectify the problem with all the independent booksellers in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Finnland, Turkey or heaven only knows where else. Ingram tells me, Theoklesia needs to do it.

They blame software issues, but surely they are not the only ones with whatever software this is, so other authors/publishers would have the same problem, but it only seems to occur with Theoklesia. I do not know US law with regard to this. Do you see where Theoklesia could benefit from this 'mistake'?

More than two months down the track - and nothing has been rectified.

Why do Ingram and all the others tell me that YOU, THEOKLESIA LLC, must correct the wrong entries?

Corrupring databases and copyright infringement is what you have done - and you refuse to rectify your dirty deeds? The victims of your fraud are not interested in your software, only in corrections.

PS: Praying for divine intervention will not do the trick. The old rule applies: When you need to get something done, look at what you find at the end of your right arm.

Theoklesia, llc is not working alone. Mind you Amazon.com and Createspace are very fraudulent too. You need to search the authors complaints against them. I published 10 books with Amazon and Createspace from 2011 but to date I received not a penny. My books were being sold internationally.

.... from what I can ascertain in the last 10 days, the Dubai fraudsters blogymate have vanished - good one, hopefully for good. One down another to go. THEOKLESIA has not vanished from books they have nothing to do with last time I looked. Will have to check, still wondering what script they have inserted where - but all tricksters will one day be nabbed. It's hard to be patient.

... the same complaints can be heard about lulu.com also, and the old recorrding companies were famous for it. Michael Jackson's father even sent auditors to one of the big ones, might have been CBS, and sure enough they found funds which hadn't been passed on to the Jackson Five. It is always difficult to get your share from the people you absolutely have to work with in the creative industries.

I have ONE message to people, don't let your children go into any of the creative industries (unless you are so rich that they can afford to do it for a hobby). Reaping the fruits of your labour in the creative industries is so difficult that nobody should do that to themselves. Law, and international law, accounting, tax planning, and big industry calling the shots is a phalanx of opponents who want to share in the yields of creative profits - very few people are a match.

Keep your children out of the creative industries and the military. Life's too short.
