I never did like anything that Bruce Springsteen sang.......hes like another Eddie Rabbit if you ask me. To listen to either of their CD's is like being slowly pecked to death by a bunch of buzzards.

i cant understand someone who hates springsteen as manticore does reading a springsteen chat page.why would u bother?on the subject of springsteens music being garbage well some people might not like it but no one could call it garbage.his music is fantastic and will stand the test of time.so if you dont like it go away and read a take that or boyzone site and leave the good music to us springsteen fans.

Simon sez...
Isn't that a child's game?
I do not know this Simon feller.
I never heard him sing.
Was he with the band Washed Up when they had their one hit?
His name does not compute.
Oh, he's a judge on American Idol...
Okay, what does that have to do with Bruce?
I do not see the comparison.

Man, Simon Cowell is just such a trip, but sort of strangely amusing in an annoying way... but I just try not to watch American Idol because I'm convinced it makes me lose "I-Q brain cells"... I almost feel dumber and ashamed after I've indulged myself in it! Ha! But hey, we all do things which are bad for us, huh. I've said it before, I'm saying it again, and I listen to just about every kind of music there is because I'm exposed to so much different stuff. My parents are die hard country fans, my kids like all the stuff that is popular for today, my nephew is a rap and reggae fan, my husband likes soul and funk... my grandmother and my father are big Johnny Cash fans... my son plays guitar beautifully so I enjoy his talents often, at work its jazz and soft stuff, and it's cool... but my ALL TIME FAVORITE music ever since I was a kid, about 5th grade- Im 42 now, has been anything Bruce, or E Street Band! I love anything the man does, his voice is just so cool and his music has been the sound track to my life, especially the high school years. I like seeing him perform in any capacity with any other musicians. There's just something about the feeling his music and voice provoke. Nothing can compare. I wish musicians/artists would just bring more good ol' rock N roll to the table.

No, we aren't used to the bluntness of Simon Cowell, but he knows talent and lets the people know what he believes. I think if most of the people would quit taking offense and really listen to what Simon is saying, they may be able to move forward in their careers.

From Simon Powell what is his profession?(Quote)
Cowell got his start at music giant EMI Music Publishing in London in 1979, where he honed his ability to adroitly identify hit-making pop stars. The entrepreneurial bug bit, and he went on to form several record labels as well as a TV production company, Syco.

In 2001, Cowell hosted a TV singing competition in Britain, U.K. Pop Idol. The U.S. version, American Idol, has been a ratings winner since it debuted in 2002. Two years ago, Cowell launched the operatic pop group Il Divo, composed of four young opera singers of different nationalities.

Cowell is now on the prowl for talent of a different sort: In March, his next competition show, American Inventor, will debut on ABC (DIS). Fledgling entrepreneurs from across America will compete to see who can come up with the best new product concept. The winner will receive $1 million and the opportunity to develop the idea into a business. Following that, Cowell will be executive producer for Fox's Duets, which will pair professional singers with celebrities in a competition,à la ABC's Dancing with the Stars.

The man you love to hate recently spoke by phone from London with BusinessWeek Online Staff Writer Stacy Perman about entrepreneurialism, success, reality TV, and the new show that will combine them all. Edited excerpts of their conversation follow:

You're best known as the tough judge on American Idol, but do you consider yourself a music man or an entrepreneur?
An entrepreneur. I've always treated the music business as a business. Whether I'm making TV shows or signing artists, you have to do it by the head and not the heart -- and I run my businesses that way (UNQUOTE)
