Charges undermine Assange denials about hacked email origins

There are 16 comments on the Washington Times story from Jul 14, 2018, titled Charges undermine Assange denials about hacked email origins. In it, Washington Times reports that:

At the beginning of 2017, one of Julian Assange 's biggest media boosters traveled to the WikiLeaks founder's refuge inside the Ecuadorean Embassy in London and asked him where he got the leaks that shook up the U.S. presidential election only months earlier. Fox News host Sean Hannity pointed straight to the purloined emails from the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton's campaign chairman.

Charges are by definition not proven and so that headline lies in that clumsy, crazy way you often see on national security issues in the mainstream media, let alone in the moonie paper of record.

Assange is almost always far more credible in his claims than all these people buzzing around him and trying to start a Warm War with Russia.

This whole Russian Boogy man thing is a crock of crap. In an information age like the one we are in they would have wrapped this farce up in a few months, but with all these millions of free tax payer money it has to go on until just before the November election so the Democrats can come out with nonsense to try to sway a few votes in their direction. They have nothing to offer the electorate, but scandal, and gossip. It won't change one vote. We like our lives under the Republicans in the House, and Senate, and the Presidency. We are not into street gossip. When the Democrats figure out they have to stand for something beside cheap gossip they can begin fielding people we can be proud of

funny thing,i don't think the average citizen care how the info against the dnc and hillary was gotten . kind of like someone robs you,one of your friends gets your stolen goods back,no one care how the thing is it was released outing all dirt stuff on the left. and the way things are i would take the word of the wiki leak guy before anyone in this witch hunt, they have all proven to be dirty and corrupt. what we see is the lib media keeps this going round and around.

Given the contrived timing of the indictments to interfere with Trump's foreign policy and the previous occurrence of Mueller indicting Russians and assuming they would never counter his charges as they did and subsequently his attempts to delay court proceedings because he was caught with his pants down, it is safe to say it is Assange, who undermines Mueller's and Rosenstein's charges.

seems the left is timing this to try to get the same results they think what caused clintons loss. difference is all the left has is accusations ,looking back first the left tried to claim the emails were bogus until they could no longer deny.

There is also the issue of Rosenstein knowing Congress is getting serious about impeaching him, drawing up the Bill on the same day this contrived nonsense happened.

All this with Mueller, and Rosenstein, and the disgraced FBI people does is cement the election of Republicans in the mid term, and re-election of President Trump in 2020. The Democrats have nothing, as in not a thing, to run with in the Fall, or 2020. They have to plead with Americans for votes. They are like puppies peeing on the carpet, they can't help themselves.

...and this certainly isn't a media prelude to the mid-term elections, is it?

Face it. If you don't have the facts, stop talking to the press.

What this article doesn’t tell you, is that it was easy to hack into unprotected servers that Hillary Clinton was using for her convenience.
Then all you had to do, was follow everyone she was emailing with, to hack into the rest of the Democrats.

When you have an incompetent public servent, like Hillary Clinton, things like this happen.

You say "incompetent". Comey let her off the hook because he could not find "intent". I would argue that she was very competent when she chose to have a private server at home in order to hide her secret crimes from the people. I would argue that Intent is not needed to prosecute under the Espionage Act. Hillary Clinton should be in prison along with Obama and others. Obama said he didn't know about the illegal server, but several of his emails were sent to this server. This whole debacle is an effort to discredit our great President and protect the criminals from the previous administration.
