I agree with notalwaysgreener3 above. People with dollar signs in their eyes and wanting to be a star always fall the hardest. It is too bad that James didn't follow through with his bringing a championship to Cleveland. And, yes, the kids in this area will suffer, because he didn't keep his promise. I personally feel as though he threw those last two play off games. Watch the tapes! Make up your own mind!!

Lebron will now join the likeness of all the others before him that left Cleveland "not because of money" but to win. Modell still can;t come back here, Thome, Manny, etc, all still get booed when they are here. as far as Lebron goes, I hope Miami has a dsimal year. Afterall, you need more than 3 players to make a team! I for one think he is a coward for doing this interview outside Ohio. He should take a page from a jockey's notebook about their sport. They ride for the love of the sport, not the fame or money. Sure they want to win, but just being able to compete and both horse and jock don't get injured is enough for them.

Hi Tony,
No big surprise!! I'm a season ticket holder and will remain one! What surprised me was the way lebron went about this circus. Holding out to give cleveland fans, media, buisness owners and the Cavs themselves! I thought he had more CLASS! I think the Fans should make a statement next season when the Heat come to town and BOYCOT the first half and LeBron can throw his Powder to an EMPTY arena! Then file in for the second half and get thier jabs and Boos in!! It probably won't happen but it would be awesome if it did! Bring on the BROWNIES!!!
Sincerely, Dissed Again Cleveland Fan!
ps. Art is still a Villian!!

So what if James is gone!? He is going to a team where there are too many chiefs and not enough Indians. The Cavaliers have a good chance with the new defensive coach. I am supporting my HOME teams! Sure, we're disappointed. But, the dollar signs and stars in the eyes have always been the cause of a players downward spiral. The honeymoon in Miama will be over quickly! We are strong here in Cleveland. We have survived alot and will continue to do so. GO CAVALIERS! GO INDIANS! GO BROWNS! GO GLADIATORS! Stop dwelling people! SUPPORT THE HOME TEAMS.

Say Rizzo, can we now stop all the media calling the bum "KING"? I gagged every time you all say it & have since the inception of the catch phrase. A king is suppose to be a good person who leads a country. LBJ is neither. He really slapped Cleveland, Akron & Ohio in the face with the way he announced his decision. Shame on him! He's not as bad as Modell who took our entire team with him. This is just one spoiled boy (not man) a man would have had more class.

Tony,

Although I'm not happy to see him go he has a right to choose where he goes.Lebron brought alot to this town, we should all be thankfull for the time he was here. The way the fans are behaving by burning Jerseys and the press with headlines like "The Betrayal" is an embarasement to this city and all who live in it.

So, it's fairly universally thought that LBJ Betrayed Us. But I think The Cavs betrayed him and so has the media.
LBJ never had a single player with him that belonged in the NBA. I predict barely 20 wins this and many seasons to come. Jordan had Pippen, Rodman, Kerr, Cartwright etc.

Montana had Rice, Taylor, Solomon, Craig, Clark, etc. Brady had Moss, Stallworth, Welker, even Cassell etc. Throughout history great players had great teammates. Anyone can walk into any sports bar and most everyone will be able to provide at least 10 answers to questions like "Name Chicago Bulls other than Jordan in the 1990's" or "Name 1986-1991 Browns other than Kosar" or "Name other Indians in the 1990's other than Albert Belle".

But, go into a Bar and ask "Name any Cavalier from 2003 to July 9,2010 other than Lebron" and people will respond something like "No one worth remembering."

To prove my point, why doesn't someone find a link providing the following information: The win lose percentage of the Cavs the last 7 years in a game where Lebron did not play. Any player other than Lebron in the last 7 years who scored more than 30 points, or even 20 or even 10. Or any other related stat without Lebron to foreshadow the next few years.

Erin Andrews, the subject of my next posting later tonight either here or some women's site like ABC Daytime, once stated "Stop Lebron and you beat The Cavaliers."

Not one single hall of fame player in any sport who won a championship did it all themselves. They were surrounded by greatness. Rice /Young, Manning/ Harrison, Brees/ Bush, Montana/ Rice, Sale/ Pelletier (ok maybe you don't appreciate that one) Elway/Jackson, Aikman/Smith,Johsnon/Jabar,Bra dshaw,Swan, etc.

Lebron had no one. He knew in Boston that he had no one and was trying to think long term getting his players to do what they will now have to do, win without him.

He chose the heroic route, get his hometown team to function without him so he can go to Miami and become Lebron/Wade/Bosh like all great heroes do.

Not even the best actors can make a show great without a great cast. Kyra's great, the Closer sucks. Calista's great, Brothers and Sisters sucks.

One Tree Hill has shown that greatness is a team without Hilarie Burton and Chad Michael Murray. But then Peyton's famous line "People always leave" is now for a real life 23 not Nathan Scott. And for that matter even in the world of TV, as great as Nathan is he still needed "Skills" and "Lucas" and a great coach Woody to help in win the NC state title.

So even in real and reel life, championships are won by teams. One person isn't a team. And it's now time for Cleveland to realize it.

"No man is an island, entire of himself"-some poet

So, look up the stats all you LBJ haters and I'll be back later tonight maybe to get every woman in the world, except for maybe Elisabeth Hassleback mad at me, for my opinions on Andrews who is the ultimate Betrayal and Traitor to women everywhere who have been victimized.

LBJ is a hero. Andrews is a narcisstic exploitive, extortionist selling out all the Nicole Brown's of the world.

We should apologize to Lebron in some way. But then in Cleveland Love Means Always Having To Say... You're Sorry.

What is up with DeVonte Ransom of Maple Heights - wasn't he a Senior last year? He is one of the Top 40 players in the PD article today. I'm confused, is the OHSAA allowing players to play for 5 years now? Can ALL kids choose to play for 5 years, or only if you are still in school for 5? Hey, if you do not graduate in four years, that is fine, stay in school and finish your education. But, you should only have 4 years from the time you start to play athletics. If not, isn't this Discrimination against the kids that are there for the regular 4 years? How about taking away from the opportunity for other kids to participate when it is their turn? This sounds like a can of worms the OHSAA should not be opening. Please check into this!

Sending a word of suggestion only if possible. The fans of longtime power house Massillon Perry in Stark County are very happy with first year head coach they Keith Boedicker. Very very impressive first game win! Destroyed old time rival Canton South 44-13! He needs some recognition!! Rizz you have to get ahold of the hit on one the South players(blocked) on a Qb scamper that netted 25 yards!! We are talking Sportscenter top 10 materal!! Seriously!! I will try to forward it if you cant get your hands on it!! Layed out!!Congrats Coach Boe!

I heard Tony Rizzo say he felt sorry for Frank Russo and the Russo clan on his morning radio show. Something to the effect "...I'm friends with him and his family...they are going through a lot...leave him alone...." If Rizzo had said: "I'm friends with him and his family. What he and some of his family and other county officials and employees have done for well over a decade to the taxpayers of Cuyahoga County, to a whistleblower on his staff whom Russo had demoted, fired, and disparaged, to the business community, and to countless others is nothing short of massive dishonesty, deception, greed, corruption, and pure evil thuggery to anyone in his and their Democrat monopoly of power. Russo did it all and he did it willingly and happily and voluntarily. And he benefited massively! The taxpayers will be paying for his evil for many years to come.

And Rizzo, this genius, says he feels bad for him and his family..."they're my friends...don't make fun of the Russos."

I'd like to see Rizzo's reaction if I had a thug friend who broke into his house and steal everything his family had and then threaten his family just for kicks and giggles. I wonder how he would react if I said "...he's my friend, Tony. I feel bad for him. Leave him alone." Rizzo...what a putz!!!
