Excellent speech by president rajapakse. It would be necessary to ensure that we do not then embark on energy expensive projects . For example, building high rise flats or huge extensive farms . More expressways may make it possible for commodities to be transported from A to B quickly. Does the country depend on selling commodities to "rich" energy bankrupt countries? If we have to depend on such exports we too will have to resort to bankrupt measures like growing corn for ethanol. Ethanol to drink or use as fuel is a policy which should be seriously questioned.
