Why is there strong political support for coal & gas, but not for nuclear power?
Good question - what do you think? I thought it was probably the strong anti-nuclear lobby feeding a media who know that fear makes for high ratings.

Beacuse BigOil is making money hand over fist from gas, and Big Coal is not a threat. So instead of daily dose of ozone action days across the nation and thousands of lung patient dying, we hear about milisieverts at Fukushima - where we have to have a first victim of radiation.
Now should BigCoal try dream up silly like coal-based synthetic fuel with nuclear-heated steam, they'll be slapped back to the Carboniferous Epoch.
