Sodium Flouride added to water is not radioactive!
There are no naturally occurring isotopes of Sodium and there are also no naturally occurring isotopes of Flourine.

Now Sodium Flouride can be made radioactive in a cyclotron which is routinely done for medical Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scans. But this is not what is added to our water supply not to mention that this is the longest half live isotope of flourine and that is only 1.8 hours so in 18 hours all the radioactivity that was made is gone. For your suggestion to be true the water companies would have to have 10's of thousands of cyclotrons at their water pumping facilities to make the water radioactive. Whay spend all that money on the electricity for the cyclotron when you can gat all the non radioactive sodium fluride you want?????????

If the water mains in Austin were "setting off geoger counters" (whatever that might mean) it would not have been from flouride. But Geiger counters might respond to naturally occuring radio-nuclides found in Texas water.
