Things must not be good if it is drawing attention that far away.
I watched the news piece. It was an informative piece with pros and cons. There do seem to be some issues.

Lies, damned lies, and statistix.
BTW, I'm still waiting for that big national study of radiation workers (healthcare and nuclear energy), for whom DETAILED RECORDS EXIST to actually show what the relationship between dose and morbidity / mortality is.
Somehow the money to do THAT has never been found.

I found it interesting that at the end of the report, it states more or less that "no inferences can be drawn from this data."
that's pretty much all you need to know.
