Grow up!
i dont give a rats ass about your propaganda, nuclear power is supported by Idiots, not one of them wants the crap buried in their back yard none of them take responsibility for the liability of a nuclear plant not one of ever has and not one of them ever will, the stupidity of dealing with toxic waste to boil waters boggles the mind

Fukushima should be a warning for densely populated small island nation like Taiwan.

If Abe can't cope with Fukushima how can Ma or next prexy Ker Chien Ming?
Timm Maddog,

JAPAN operate those POWER PLANTS over their expected LIFE SPAN without retiring OLDER POWER PLANTS for NEWER ONES with better safety features! JAPAN also did not put those POWER PLANTS on some cliff, which those POWER PLANTS are really at sea level with power-backup outside buildings! JAPAN is greedy for not built any SEA WALLS for their choice of putting those POWER PLANTS at sea level! TSUNAMI kills most of JAPANESE PEOPLE, and QUAKE with NUCLEAR ACCIDENTS are just result of POOR PLANNING to began with!!{roll my eyes}

Storm Warning,

YOU are a PROPAGANDA as well! It is very PROFITABLE to build those WIND FARMS even though those places don't have much wind to use them! That is same with SOLAR PANELS at places that don't have enough SUN SHINES! More people buying your RENEWABLE [<--- spin word] ENERGY kind of PRODUCTS means more PROFIT for your GROUP even if THEY don't work as ADVERTISED! Guess what? TAIWAN GOVERNMENT have to pay for THOSE TOYS from our TAX MONEY! This doesn't mean NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS don't do same with TAX MONEY as well by paying for their INITIAL INVESTMENT of those NUCLEAR EQUIPMENTS!!=(

If TAIWAN were to put SOLAR PANELS on every ROOFS and WIND FARMS all over TAIWAN, it would still not be enough for TAIWAN to function as an INDUSTRIALIZED NATION! It means many HEAVY INDUSTRIES will start to leave TAIWAN such as STEEL MAKING, PLASTIC MAKING, and so on! TAIWAN simply needs DIVERSE GROUPS of ENERGY MIX! If RENEWABLE [<--- spin word] ENERGY is such MIRACLE ENERGY, shouldn't we stop fighting over OIL right now and start just using RENEWABLE [<--- spin word] ENERGY as THE ULTIMATE ENERGY SOURCE!!=/

Problem with RENEWABLE ENERGY would be that it is INTERMITTENT ENERGY SOURCES! Is My TAIWAN NATION supposed to pray for RAIN when there is not enough RAIN for HYDRO POWER DAN? Is My TAIWAN NATION going to pray for SUNSHINE when there is not enough SUNSHINE? Is My TAIWAN NATION going to pray for WIND when there is not enough WIND for those WIND TURBINES? At end of day, MOST NATIONS (especially INDUSTRIALIZED ONES) will continue to use TRADITIONAL ENERGY because RENEWABLE [<--- spin word] ENERGY only look good on paper!!=(

But the petroleum are free to go straight into our nostrils. That of course, is acceptable. Lac Megantic what? There is 30 Bq runoff to be scared about (natural oceanic radioactivity is 12 Bq). Deepwell who?

Ma must not trust Abe and stop the 4th. nuclear plant before it's too late.

"Devices exported without going through safety inspections include those for the installation at Taiwan's fourth atomic power station, and repair works in Sweden and Brazil, according to manufacturer officials and the Japan Electrical Manufacturers' Association's internal documents."

Tokyo 2016 Olympics Slogan:

Play Now Pay Later!

" Officials at the Tokyo Electric Power Company say they detected 1,400 becquerels per liter of beta ray-emitting radioactive material at a measuring point 150 meters from the sea on Wednesday.

The figure was more than 70 times higher than readings taken on Tuesday. It's also the highest since monitoring of the ditch water was started in August.
Officials say rain from the typhoon caused contaminated soil to flow into the ditch and created the high radioactivity."

BTW , Abe claims Fukushima radioactive water woes are ‘under control’!!!

http://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2013/10/16/n...

But , TEPCO reports another tank leak!

http://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/english/news/2...

Can Olympic athletes trust Abe and the Japanese government?

1400 Bequerels?!? My oh my! Tremble in fear sheeple, as you hand over the fruits of your labor to Big Oil!
.
Lac Megantic who? Deepwell Horizon what? I'll be worried about artificial radioactivity about when Big Oil and Big Coal stop killing their employees and the public.
.
Lac Megantic who? Deepwell Horizon what?
.
P.S. Beta radiation traveling 150 meters through the air? That requires 30 MeV electrons?!? Who in the world discovered this wondrous isotope?

TEPCO: Strontium tops safety standards in 6 spots

http://mainichi.jp/english/english/newsselect...

It's now very clear that Japan has given up Fukushima in favor of the 2016 Tokyo Olympics.

Very sad for the Fukushima folks.

Very dangerous for Asians who catches fish tainted with strontiums.

Will Olympians also abandon Fukushima for Tokyo?

any of those oil accidents leave an area like Chernobyl uninhabitable for a century?

No, because sheeple will fear strontionarium, but not soot. Still the most potent carcinogen known to man. Including the one coming out of every car's and truck's tailpipe.

AFAIK, soot production is NOT a drawback (real or imagined) of nukular power.

"As much as 76 percent did not believe in the prime minister’s statement that the situation at the crippled Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant is “under control.” When asked what impact Japan’s hosting of the 2020 summer Olympics would have on disaster reconstruction efforts, 46 percent said they believed that the reconstruction efforts would be put on the back burner — far more than the 37 percent who thought that the successful Olympic bid would add momentum to reconstruction."
