Uranium based nuclear is totally unnecessary.

Japan should switch to Thorium based nuclear power, and increase the use of wind and solar power.

Real Truth, maybe you are right, but they can't just switch because nowadays the japanese can't steal Western technology as easily as in the 60s and 70s.

Isn't it interesting that anything that is produced or made in Japan wasn't invented by a Japanese person?

The Japanese are inable to create something, they can only steal ideas and then produce a cheaper product with less quality (which they sell cheap through price dumping and make money that way). The price dumping is the reason why Japan's debt is so high - the cheap prices abroad were paid for by the Japanese population's savings. Funny if you think of it.

When the Western countries stopped the Japanese stealing their technology in the mid-80s, the Japanese bubble economy quickly stopped, and since then the Japanese were not able to make any kind of innovation by themselves, that's why the bubble is never coming back.

Now they think printing money will solve the problem, but don't realize it's only a short-term fix. Their companies have already lost against Korean and Chinese companies (and soon Indian and Brazil companies), and they will never be able to go up. From here on it's only down, down, down.

Fermat's last theorem was proven by means of Tanyama-Shimura conjecture, using Iwasawa nuber theory.
"Japs can't do this or that" is garbage which should have been dispelled at least since Pearl Harbor.
As to the capacity of the Jap corporatist state to run a large nuclear electricity operation, that is a different story and Japan Co. may possibly prove incapable of doing that. Has little to do with individual Japs' capacity for inventive thought.
