Hundreds protest dropped charges over...
Hundreds rallied in Tokyo on Saturday to protest at Japanese prosecutors' decision to drop charges over the Fukushima nuclear crisis, with no one yet punished nearly three years after the "man-made" disaster.

What about the other industries whose hazardous materials were spread all over the country side by the Tsunami not the "man-made" disaster??
Hundreds protest!! not really a mandate by the people is it. In a city of over 13 million even 999 which is the highest you can go for hundreds is only 7/1000th of a percent of the population.

Do you have any original thoughts or do you just post links.
I read this story and actually read the Mueller, Poneman entire discussion which was released under FOIA. The problem is they never discuss units but talk of radiation. Now radiation exposure is in units of Rem or Sievert. But they talk of the air which would be in uCi/cc or Bq/m3. They state it is 30 times what expected in normal air, now if it were in proper units and the isotope identified I could calculate what the exposure is and that is directly relatable to dose to the individual and potential acute effects, conveniently it is not available. He also said levels were so high that a person could receive a lethal dose in a few hours but then said a member of the general public would exceed their regulatory limit in 10 hours. The reg limit for the general population is 100 mRem/yr from non natural and medical sources. So if that were true than the dose rate would be 10 mRem/hr. Neither is going to kill you in a few hours nor likely in your lifetime as you receive anywhere from 360 to 600 mRem/yr from natural and medical sources. I did find one interesting issue in the FOIA article that they said several helicopters came back to the ship and they read 4 Sievert/hr at 100 feet away. I did the calculations on that considering the copter as a line source it would have a dose rate at 1 foot of 40,000 Rem/hr which would provide a lethal dose in under 2 minutes to 100% of the personnel within 2 days of exposure regardless of receiving medical attention. That means ever person on those helos and the ground crew should all be dead and we would have heard about that but mysteriously we have not, why. Probably because people like Poneman and Mueller are not familiar with the units of radiological control and used incorrect terminology. Don't get me wrong I am sure the Reagan steamed thru the plume and the ship and some personnel were contaminated but not to a level which could result in any harm certainly not within days or even several years.
