It is amusing to take the successive cone projections of storm Fay and overlay them from day to day; this is weather, a seemingly simple topic -- and the actual track of this one storm vis a vis the day to day predictions show how fragile and inaccurate our grasp of storm weathers are. When we step up the address to climate, it broadens the playing field and brings in interested players -- the armed forces, ExxonMobil, Fundamentalists, Creationists, Las Vegas oddsmakers, et al., including politically oriented groups like the one mentioned in the above post, "The American Enterprise Institute." In short, there should be even more "red flags" up when dealing with climate and climate change, than with weather and weather change -- as experience shows, it's all pretty much a crap shoot, even when you don't bring in the possibilities of supernatural intervention, like "Jesus stopped the storm," or, "Gaia woke up and felt our cries for help..." Peace, Love and all that stuff -- and if you like to huff gasoline, remember too much of that can cause brain damage

Which would explain much, your have never been properly debugged and whoever did the orginal programming must of just been winging it. Looks like I have to put rewriting you on my to do list.

The cones shift because they are combining the output from eight differnt models.

And your right about the number of people who are involved in climate directly or indirectly like construction workers.

You may find that program rewrites & debugs, like certain "regime changes," may well be better begun at home; rewriting or attempting to rewrite others turns out to require forgery, when you yourself are not authentic, and if you can't even spell, how can you expect a forgery to be accepted?

That's the reason there are so many dunces in Climatology and Weather? Coneheads?:-)

Your definetly a buggy program. Maybe you should be deleted and replaced with something a little less kludged.
