Who says Japan and Germany don't need nuclear powerplants? Not their factories, for sure!

I don't know about Germany but Japan has numerous nuclear plants and despite the accident at the Fucachima plant(excuse the spelling) they plan to continue to keep the rest of their plants running at full capacity. This is in a country that has regular earthquakes and it's almost guaranteed there will be more. As far as the US is considered to put plants anywhere on the west coast is like commiting suicide. We all know the big one is going to hit, it's just a matter of when and we'll have the exact same disaster as Japan, possibly much worse. Nuclear power is great if you don't put plants in a determined earthquake region as we've done. Then of course you have to figure what you're going to do with the spent fuel rods which as far as I know nobody has come up with a truly feasible plan..........
