I hope the study is accurate, because jobs are in short supply around the western world.
The only obvious error with this, "nonpartisan study" that I can see, is that energy employees are non productive as far as helping the economy is concerned, because they won't be producing anything exportable.

Affordable energy is the key to factory produced goods that are competitive on the world market. Wind and solar can not produce competitively priced energy so they help the economy very little unless you are China. China profits from the export a lot of wind and solar technology, however they are cautious about its use at home.

Who would bet on a diffuse and intermittent source of energy, when uranium/thorium fuel on a volume basis is 50 million times more energy dense than coal. It defies common sense to count on solar or wind to be an economically viable replacement for fossil fuel. On the other hand, given the great energy density superiority of fuel for nukes, one can anticipate future reactors capable of producing energy cheaper than coal. The best hope for avoiding the downside of coal in the future is replacement of coal power plants with Generation VI nuclear energy production.

Russia recently sold two BN 800 Breeder reactors to China. The BN 800 is an updataded BN 600. Russia reports that the BN 600 has produced electricity reliably for the past 30 years. Russia will soon modified it to use plutonium from the former USSR weapons. Climate change and swords into plow shares issues are are now being addressed by China. By the way China plans to add 70 new reactors by 2020. Europe and America continue to suffer from radio-phobia. This ailment is destroying their economies.

When countries industrialize their per capita GDP rises and their birthrates fall. Over-population is the third major problem about to be conquered by nuclear energy.

The way things are now the Republicans would not even save their own lives - if it was in a bill introduced by the Democrats.

Renewable energy is a job killer. Biofuel takes farmers from food, land from food crops, increasing the price. Government subsidies for energy producers has been a corruption on our Federal government since the '20's.

We need to stop climate legislation, it could cause global cooling and the well known ice age climate scenario, if we even pause our carbon dioxide emission growth. There are some very real risks, that must be experimentally verified, before we make final decisions.

It would depend on what else was in the bill. Republican do not support the Democrat bills that are harmful to the Republic.

Is Based on Lies and or Illusions. "Sustainable Systems LLC is committed to increasing the net return per acre to the Montana agricultural community through development of this and other value added products," said Miller.
"We haven’t had many viable crops to rotate with small grains. Oil seed crops help break disease, weed and insect cycles, which reduces growers' input costs and potentially can increase crop yields following oilseed rotations," said Johnson.
Developing the use and production of these fuels and could lead to job creation ... Replacing 1% of EU fossil fuels with biofuels would create between 45000 and 75000 new jobs.... Oil crops offer a sustainable energy

Oil crops take food off the table of the poor. You evil, poison scientists can't even face the ramifications of science.

If man mitigates climate, with CO2, that's old hat. Now, we jam.
