The province has approved conversion of the Atikokan Generating Station to biomass fuel from coal, and has directed the Ontario Power Authority to negotiate an agreement to buy the biomass power generated at Atikokan from Ontario Power Generation, the plant's owners.
Thunder Bay, Canada
Who cares how it generates 120 volts as long as it does that - all good to the betterment of all people that will benefit in the area, but if it does falter then the water inside the steam engine is not hot enough. I have studied how power stations work and the the thing that turns the generator is the steam engine. I still thing coal is the best fuel if all the filters are in place so only water vapours leave the stalks. It can be done I know.
~~whoever thought up biomoss as fuel is going to leave big gaping holes on the ground all over the north. ALAS!
