In my opinion the future fuel is algea from the Oceans. When we think that most of the areas in the world are oceans, I would say that is almost the only area which is not so much exploited by us humans.

Algal-based biofuels has been in the news for a while. The US military has had several successful tests using it in jets. What's great about algae is that it doesn't compete with land, unlike crop-based biofuels and it can use waste water instead of fresh water.
