So Rob Wile: "We pulled together key charts from the studies that are causing people to lose hope in green energy."

You show all of these shiney tables to "prove" alternative energy is too expensive? The second table shown,Levelized Cost of New Generation Resources. What a crock, it is making cost projections on technology that isn't in industralized manufacture and use. The projection table "showing" when solar PV will be at parity with conventional forms of generation is rediculous. Some of these companies are only doing utility sized generation projects. Solar PV is best installed where it will be used, right on a home's roof. The end user is left out of the equation. The homeowner or business owner who would adopt solar PV do not pay wholesale electricity rates, wake up Rob. IE) Southern California Edison (SCE) is using tiered electric rates, they have just gotten a 5% increase for their rates. There are five rate tiers starting at 13.6 cents per KWh and going up to 33.6 cents per KWh. In SCE territory one could put just enough solar PV on one's roof to keep out of the top tiers of the electric rate scale. One could pay for the PV system in 5 to 7 years with the electic savings. Your "charts" are projections not actual data being gathered by online systems reflecting retail energy rates. Install some solar Rob and you'll see: www.dsireusa.org
