"Paired with solar cells on the roof, such "disruptive energy resources" could result in one nation, off the grid. "The solar industry belongs with the natural gas industry," NRG's Crane says. "Those two go together, they just don't know it.""

NRGs CEO David Crane knows what the future holds and is steering his company towards a sustainable future. Other Utilities are engaged in lobbying and politicking to protect their monopolies. Sooner or later like many industries over the years, hostile takeovers and acquisitions will create one large conglomerate that will rule the industry. It looks like right now NRG is positioning itself for this future.
It's getting to be difficult to have a pledge of allegiance for " Nation under GOD..." Perhaps the new PC pledge will be " Nation, off the grid..."
