Solar power when the sun has set
The professor of materials chemistry at MIT is leading an effort to develop a new kind of battery -- a "liquid metal battery" -- that would enable the economical storage of energy from solar, wind and other sources so that it could be used when homes and businesses need it.

Donald Sadoway MIT professor and driving force behind Liquid Metal Battery Corporation (LMBC)"...invent to the price point of the electricity market..." He talks about 2MWh cargo container sized storage batteries for the grid. What about 40 to 75KWh sized storage units for individual home usage? Wouldn't it be nice to be able to power one's home 24/7 off of the sun, or wind and still have some power left over to charge an electric vehicle or two? Why not create a distributed storage system instead of using very large battery fields. Then V2G storage would be a reality. One that could actually get America out of the fossil fuel business. For home use, some of the heat generated by these high temperature battery packs could be used to help heat the home and domestic hot water. C,mon Sadoway, go, go, go, change the way the World uses and stores energy.

NO, but it lools like YOU make asinine assumptions based on what little knowledge you have been able to glean in your 15 years of cognizance. Troll off somewhere else.
