Britain resists EU bid to set new target on renewable energy
The government will oppose attempts to set a new renewable energy target within the EU, in a move that could put at risk tens of billions of pounds of green investment and tens of thousands of new jobs.

The EU should void the targets all together and replace them with a target to reduce their emissions of CO2 in the making of electricity to about 100g CO2/kWh. France would meet it now, Germany would have a L.L.O.O.N.N.G.G way to go. Maybe France could sell them CO2 credits to help out.
