When they start out their piece with "The horrifying news from Fukushima worsens daily. It is an unparalleled global catastrophe that cries out for anyone and everyone with nuclear expertise to pitch in." it should not be surprising if they lose the attention of anyone who knows anything about radiation and Fukushima.

Obviously you don't know anything about radiation. You believe it's just fine.

Obviously you don't know anyting about radiation. You think it is a disaster.
The Tokohu earthquake and tsunami killed ~25,000 people. That was a disaster.
The Boxing Day earthquake and tsunami killed some 230,000 people. THAT was a disaster.
Bhopal caused ~3800 deaths and 4000 permanent incapacitations. That was a minor disaster.
Fossil fuel energy usage causes about 3,000,000 deaths per year. THAT is a DISASTER.
Renewable energy usage causes about 2,000,000 deaths per year. THAT is a DISASTER.
The Fukushima evacuation mess killed some 1000 people. That is ignored by everyone.
Fukushima might eventually shorten the lives of as many as 130 people. That is unfortunate, and a tragedy for their families, but hardly a disaster in light of the others.

That's all great......unless you're one of the people exposed and dying.

True, but there are a WHOLE lot fewer such people with nuclear than with any other category of energy source. So I like my chances better with nukes.
