I'm not alone, either. Poll after poll shows that Vermonters support wind power.

Megan, it is unfortunate that someone is paying to put you through college at UVM, which is just a factory producing a generation of obedient corporate drones. A skewed poll that lists about 130 participants in the dirtiest and most polluted city in VT, yes, that's Burlington as being pro industrial wind (without a wind turbine in sight) can hardly be fair compared to 4 people being surveyed in the same "poll" in the Northeast Kingdom where you find 37 giant wind turbines in plain sight. The NEK contains some of the most environmentally sensitive ecosystems in the state, which I'm sure doesn't matter to you, but it sure matters to the people here when they see mountains blasted apart, birds slashed to bits, wildlife driven away and headwaters and forests destroyed. For what? To keep your friend and financial supporter, David Blittersdorf, and buddies, well supplied with tax subsidies. Wind turbines do nothing for the climate (they don't change the weather either, if you can comprehend the difference). They produce very little electricity for all the damage they cause, and sometimes they even use more power than they produce.
If you're so enamored of Blittersdorf & Co, after all he did just dump a cool million into UVM to produce more drones, then why don't you have him put up a 500ft turbine beside your UVM dormitory (or is it an exclusive sorority we are talking about here?). And why don't you support lining the Burlington waterfront with big turbines? After all, what could it hurt by putting them there, the place is already fouled, it's the biggest energy hog in the state and no one would even notice the noise and shadow flicker. It wouldn't bother any wildlife or eco-systems either, you guys already destroyed those.
You're big on environmental policy? Well here's one for you; the massive blocks of conserved Hancock lands here in the NEK strictly ban the installation of wind turbines. Good thing it wasn't a wind drone like yourself making that policy or there wouldn't be an acre of unspoiled land on this planet.
