GM to invest $11 million in local electric project
General Motors Co. will invest about $11 million to turn landfill gas into electricity for the Allen County truck assembly plant, company officials announced today.The effort is part of a two-plant, $24 million project that includes the Lake Orion Assembly Plant in Michigan.

Landfill biogas is, in general, by far THE cheapest energy. GM will get a reward for progressive thinking just from the deal itself.
