We grow up hearing America is supersized and wasteful, yet for most of the younger generation this country is the only place we have ever lived - the only place we have ever known.

I have been fortunate to live and travel in Germany. I am proud to be an American and totally agree we should not be so wasteful. We could learn from the Germans on how to be more conservative.

The Germans have just about the highest output of CO2 per kWh in all of Western Europe. Their "conservation" results in the use of a LOT of coal which is not helping.
They need to emulate Ontario and use a lot more nuclear energy. Ontario has about the LOWEST CO2 output per kWh. And they don't put out the toxic particulates that coal does either.

Germany is NOT the top environmentally friendly nation. It only claims it is because they have a retarded Nazi-like trash-separation system, which is not efficient, conservationist, or environmentally friendly in any way. If you look at the state of german cars and the way they drive on the autobahn, they cause more pollution than any other country in W. Europe.
(Germany is not even top 10, despite the fact that germs regulate the way you throw your trash like a bunch of Neo-Nazis):
Top environmentally friendly countries:
3. Costa Rica
