Coal is doomed to be eventually phased out unless it can be made cleaner .....get over it.

There will always be a place and occasion for coal use. It is too useful and it will be impossible to phase out. I agree there are other sources of energy, but coal is one of Americas leading natural resources.

The odds are coal use will be restricted due to pollution concerns. It's use has already begun to decline as other energy sources come on line.
