NM renewable energy advocates clash over proposal
A proposal that would allow electric utilities to choose their alternative energy sources rather than be required to use solar as part of the mix has New Mexico's solar industry worried.

Some form of mandatory has got to occur else we'll never wean ourselves from natural resources, and alternative energy sources will never blossom.
I suspect the biggest factor working against it is money on the part of PNM, not ours but theirs. They might actually be pressured to move forward for a change.
