Organizations and people doing important work often don't get the attention or credit they deserve.

Interesting. In the 1970s the same scientific community was predicting a catastrophic new ice age which would devastate the US farm belt. It said the evidence of a new ice age was coming in so rapidly that the science community could not keep up with it.
Fast forward a quick 25 years, the same scientific community came out with the predictions of global warming so severe that we would completely destroy the planet. Why? It was people's fault for using fossil fuel and hair spray.
Do these churches not read the news? This fall the UN came out with a report that the current warming temperatures are not man made at all, but cyclical. Another report of a think tank of US scientists came out with a report that Earth is not heating are rapidly as previous thought. Within the past two weeks, another science community predicted another mini ice age or a least a cycle of cooling.
So here comes the united Christians church to the rescue of global warming, charging on a jalopy with four square times. Look out scientists, we're a'cummin.
How can Christians be so ill-timed. Read a newspaper, listen to a news program (liberal or conservative), go to the library and study current events. Noting makes the Christian church look more out of step than being Johnny-come-latelies -- too latelies.

You are obviously not a christian but you are asking valid questions about an lie which has sadly contaminated a lot of churches especially protestant ones. I belive that the churches have are falling away from god and even endorse homosexuality amongst a few denominations. With that in mind if they forget about god and start to embrace pop culture and an anything goes worldly attitudes they wil fall for any old lie instead of god, this is why both true christians and non christians alike can see many churches for the ridiculous spectactle which they have become.
This does how ever not alter the fact that their is still a god of justice and mercy, its just that many churches are using their free will to ridicule god. I have a sad and horrible feeling that one day god will say to many members of these types of churches "I never knew you".
In some churches this may also be because especially anglicans are often actually quite aloof and selfish so they like say how good they are by rallying lipservice to all these fraudulent international causes to fool themselfs into thinking them selfs that this is some kind of substite for the commandment of "love thy neighbour" Which by the way really does mean "love thy neighbour"
I recomend that you get your self a proper bible and read it. Make sure it is either a catholic or some kind of orthodox version as protestant bibles have a few books missing

God is good, you sound like a religious fruit cake. You denounce homosexuals but also say "love thy neighbor"...which is it.
How many kids has your priest diddled? How many lives have been ruined? Come down off of your pedestal and stop acting like you're better than everyone else. You're nothing but a phony.
Praise be to Allah.
