C'mon Helman you quote all of these sources as to why coal is here to stay and then later in the article you state many "old" underperforming and out of date plants are being retired. The Utilities don't want to deal with them either. Coal has been an institution for hundreds of years, it's time to end the run and move on. You also state that coal can generate electricity for 13 cents a KWh and 12 cents with "clean" technology, yeah right. "Clean Coal" technology was priced out by the DOE at a little higher per MWh than "dirty" coal fired plants. Your numbers don't match and neither does your logic.
