ethanol fuel doesn't release NOx and SOx etc...
this news is hypocrite in the same manner as the usa tax against brazilian ethanol.

Henry Ford designed the Model T to run on ethanol or gasoline. This was long before Al Gore, and then farmers often could have a surplus of corn ethanol.
It will however, corrode most modern fuel systems that are not designed for it. I use LPG in my Rolls-Royce, it is very clean and produces no poison - only CO2. Also it costs half the price of gasoline. But if you want to be a prat and be like Prince Charles, have a car converted at vast expense to run on dodgy old wine and rotting cheeese.

End agricultural subsidies and import restrictions, stop burning food. You evil green famine mongers don't see, when a poor child dies because your inflated price of grain, the decay includes your "NOx and SOx" as does other agricultural waste. Say no to climate taxes.

But all that farm equiptment used to grow it is fueled with petrochemicals that do. Which means to entire production of it produced more than using regular petrol does. So your ethanol produced more GHG's than the gasoline would of.

So who really is the hypocrite the one who is using gasoline or the one who is burning the food that the hungry poor could of had.

Hands off, no tax, no dole. Get the government out of the market, let them watch, if they like, but not play. We don't buy your climate legislation, it won't help. You'll end up doing foolish like outlawing climate change, we know the story.

I've always mentioned the negative affects of ethanol, even in websites before I came to Topix. I often was the lead critic of ethanol on some sites. But you already know that. But you have to make a blanket statement against AGW advocates.

Ethanol generates 35% more energy than it takes to produce, according to a recent study by Argonne National Laboratory conducted by Michael Wang.

Ethanol is crony capitalism, welfare farmers collecting millions while food prices increase, the undocumented poor starve.

Tho Wang & researchers have issues with land use expansion determinations for "ethanol in gasoline engine" applications, land use expansion does dramatically occur. & as NOT studied by many researchers on both sides of the "ethanol in gasoline" policy, ethanol needs high compression ratio (16:1) ethanol engines to efficiently extract ethanol energy. Ethanol as used (not burned efficiently) in low compression ratio(9:1 to 11:1) gasoline engines, is terribly wasted. 10% ethanol blends are common. However, that 10% leads to 8% to 5% mpg losses, an extreme loss of energy in gasoline engines. Many many reports indicate that a small minority of gasoline engines get NO extra power from the 10% ethanol in the blends.

There have been reports that ethanol as used(not burned efficiently) in a gasoline engine, may have poor emissions. Here's a report from Brazil, telling of less atmospheric ozone, when ethanol prices jumped & more gasoline was consumed & less ethanol.

Let me offer this to the table. I want to help minimize pollution, carbon foot print, and save people money at the same time. I feel as I may have the solution and some of you would be great candidates for this. I not only use, but sell a great Eco friendly product known as XFT, or Xtreme Fuel Treatment. Now some maybe skeptical but I can assure you there is plenty of data to back up my product. Not only does this save you money by gaining MPG but it cleans your engine, lubricates, and prolong the life's of your vehicles engine, WHILE BURNING MORE EFFICIENTLY= Cleaner emmissions! Now whether skeptical, curious, or willing to try it before you knock it, all the info you need can be found at www.xtremefuelbrown.mysyntek.com my contact info will be listed as well on how to order and what you should purchase as well as more clarification on the product itself. Thanks
