Yeah, already reported 2-3 days ago. In addition, the following:
This new science paper shows the inferiority of 10% ethanol blends to 100%(ethanol-free) gasoline for emissions cuts.
NOT mentioned in the article is the collapse of ethanol to produce energy when used(not burned efficiently), in low compression ratio gasoline engines.
Modern engines use(not burn) ethanol without damage to low compression ratio(8:1 to 11:1) gasoline engines. However, ethanol engines, designed to get the ethanol energy content, have compression ratios of 16:1. Even modern engines (Prius or Mazda compression ratio- 12:1) have reported 10% ethanol blend mpg losses in the 5% to 10% range.
Of course, this old report shows the emissions inferiority of ethanol, even before this lastest study.
100% gasoline provides emissions as low (even lower) as 10% ethanol blends. The following report from pure-gas.org :
We had to take our 2005 Ford Escape in for an emissions test in order to renew its plates this year and while in the test it received a FAST PASS indicating it is a very clean running vehicle. It's got 110,000 miles on it and the fuel in the tank at the time of the test was 85 octane PURE GASOLINE!

Ethanol mandates are drive-by starvation of the poor, with higher grain and food prices for all. They love the planet but aren't enchanted by the people, especially the poor.

Updates to the dedicated website pure-gas.org :
At its beginning to show drivers where to get 100% ethanol-free gasoline, pure-gas.org began with addresses to under 2000 sources for 100% pure gasoline. pure-gas.org has a great zoomable map that cover to find local sources. Later apps have been added. Users can directly add or subtract stations that have or no longer offer 100% gasoline. Some years ago, pure-gas.org had raised their listings to 5000. Presently, they are approaching 8000 listings, as more drivers wish to get rid of ethanol in gasoline & want 100% gasoline.

If the Feinstein/Coburn bill passes, ethanol stuffed into gasoline mandates would end & listings for 100% gasoline might soar by 5 to 10 times.

Write your Congressman and the White Hose about ethanol, let them know you oppose having more alcohol in your gasoline than in your beer! Tell them alcohol is for taxing and drinking, not for burning.
Tell them alcohol is for taxing and drinking, not for burning.
Ethanol doesn't burn properly in a low compression ratio(9:1 to 11:1) gasoline engine. Ethanol needs high compression ratio(16:1) ethanol engines to burn properly & gain its energy output. That is why adding only 10% ethanol to gasoline, reduces mpg by 8% to 5%.

In a small minority of gasoline engines, 10% ethanol blends lose 10% mpg. This means that ethanol is providing no energy in those particular engines.

Improper burning of ethanol also causes more air pollution, since 100% gasoline with modern refinings, can give lower emissions than improper burning of 10% ethanol blends.

Solar Energy is very nice for saving electricity. It is also useful to decreasing Global Warming because that is generates natural energy in sun and it will be used in city.

Solar shading is good in some areas, allowing more than a few cacti to grow in extremely solar heated areas.

A concise article declaring the shortcomings of ethanol as produced for ethanol blends used in gasoline engines. Tho concise, the many shortcomings still makes for a longer article......with nearly no advantages.

About the end of May 2014, listings rose to 8000. Now 7 weeks later(July 6, 2014), listings jumped over 2% to 8175!!! Even fuel restrictive California has a few more stations selling 100% gasoline. Wisconsin, with 709 listings, comprise 8.7% of all U.S. & Canadian listings. Florida, with repeal of some 100% gasoline restrictions, has increased ~ 10% over the last few months.
LHMF said, "Only a few 'reactionaries' and idiots are wanting 'pure gas' as you put it".

100% gasoline belongs in gasoline engines, which give 8% to 5% better mpg than just 10% ethanol mixed into gasoline blends. This means the ethanol is not performing properly in gasoline engines, altho ethanol perform excellently in ethanol engines(duh). Remember, diesel fuel burns properly in diesel engines, ethanol burns properly in ethanol engines & 100% gasoline burns properly in gasoline engines. Its very simple.

Citizens are understanding this now. In about 6.5 months listings for E0 rose from 7700 to 8403, 9+%. Now, less than 3 months after hitting 8000, pure-gas.org lists 8403 E0 sources, a jump of 5%. At this rate there will be 10,000+ sources for E0 within a year. Whether it does or doesn't, depends on the EPA's desire to force more ineffective ethanol into our gasoline engines.

On top of the news that ethanol causes more AGW GHG emissions, comes this tidbit that Panama ethanol production poisoned a river & 100% gasoline will be allowed......because it pollutes less!!!!

Solar panels don't just kill off the plants underneath, they bake the flying animals above too.

If you don't consider starvation a problem, ethanol mandates are simply more pork for voters and higher prices for food consumers.

I embrace fossil fuel use; we couldn't withstand climate change without fossil fuel. Ignoring reality is suicide.

Correct, burn as much fossil fuel as you please, cut taxes, intrusive regulation and stop wasteful government spending on ethanol mandates.

Using not quite a year long time period of increasing pure-gas.org E0 listings, present 8505 sources have jumped from 7400 in October 2013. There should be 10,000 E0 listings by 2016, IF the EPA keeps a low profile.

From alsquicklube.com :

......independent testing shows that E10 (10% ethanol) produces a mixture which doubles the intake deposits of regular gasoline. One investigative reporter from KHOU-TV in Houston did a feature on ethanol and interviewed local mechanics around the city. Each described the recent surge in carbon deposits in intake systems since the widespread use of E10 fuel. Their customers noticed a drop in power, decreased gas mileage, and under extreme conditions the valve spring could not close the intake valve, resulting in a loss of compression and the inability to start the car.

Litesong, why don't you blame the Koch brothers for burning food and poor mileage. It may help you sound more rational.
