Google threatens coal with renewable funding

April 30--Over the years, coal has faced a number of opponents, from other energy industries to environmentalists, but recently an Internet giant has stepped into the ring.

Basically coal hasn't 'cleaned up its act' with pollution standards and energy efficency stuck in the '60s. Consumers, including major corportations are getting tired of the excuses and inaction. So they are making their own initiatives to bypass the non-competitive losers.

Good to hear someone's doing something about big bad coal. Really hope all of Google's efforts will have the desired effect of making renewables cost-effective.
