IT's not so much a problem as a question of will. Will the fossil fuel addicts go down without a fight? Not likely. Will the business community make the large investments in green(er) energy? Capital is limited so it will take a LONG time. And will the average consumer start thinking globally, such as insulating his house (a wise investment anyway). Well, some will but too many are 'near the bone' or renting so I wouldn't expect that it would happen that fast.
We will undoubtably keep 'holding off' while doing 'something' and increasing the effort as the consequences become apparent to the TRUE idiots. By that time, it will be too late to really stop the majority of the problems. And fingers will be pointed.. while those who made those decisions are retired and safe.. like always.
