A simple rule ... reduce the meat and fill up on more fruits and veggies, which are more important to buy locally.

Hard rule....... reduce the salt. One in ten deaths are attributed to too much salt! I in 3 deaths under the age of 70 is due to too much salt!!

Salt is in everything. Only very smart, dedicated, informed cooks can really avoid the levels of salt causing premature death. Breads & cheeses are terrible........ but oh so good! Yeah, all those prepared foods got to be a death sentence. A can of soup is loaded.
