With the problems we are having in the middle east why the heck is any American doing traveling there unless they absolutely had to? I'll bet they were so surprised when the government fell apart there! I just don't get it with so many safe places to travel.

Agree , going to the middle east is like going swimming in shark infested waters. Glad they made it back OK, but why would you go there when there are a lot of fantastic things to see right here in the good old USA

They were already there when the uprising started. It's not like the uprising happened and THEN they made plans to go to Egypt.

And EVERYBODY was surprised when the government fell apart. Egypt has been stable for decades.
