Chicago teacher union president Karen Lewis on utube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch...

this is the best teachers in Chicago can elect!?!?!

talks about smoking weed
makes fun of Obama's Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan's lisp

can you imagine if your child was in a classroom with person like this?

Can you imagine if your child had a disability and had this woman as a teacher?

KAREN LEWIS is what IS WRONG with teachers in America.

Thank GOD there are more better teachers, than this sad, pathetic union leadership.

UNIONS=THUGS
CHICAGO'S KAREN LEWIS=THUG

Actually feel sorry for Mayor Emanuel.(though there is no excuse to takeaway a parent's right to CHOOSE which school their children attend) Shame on Rahm Emanuel and President Obama from taking away the choice of Charter Schools! Their OWN children attend/attended a Chicago CHARTER SCHOOL.

SUPPORT POLITICAL CANDIDATES WHO ADVOCATE FOR CHARTER AND CHOICE FOR ALL PARENTS!

FAILURE: Obama and Hillary's failure to protect Americans in dangerous arab countries during 9.11 anniversary! Protection should have been beefed up! It's not a FL preacher or some unknown film maker, it's the Obama administration trying to divert responsibility from their FAILED FOREIGN POLICY!

Obviously teachers should be evaluated regularly. In some cases it is unfair if the teachers are in inner city schools where most classrooms are chaotic and dangerous. In those schools the level of violence should be taken into account. I know three teachers in Philly who have experienced serious assaults by 'students.' In many cases teachers are terrified of the students. I would love to see some of these right wing whiners teach in an inner city school for one day. I doubt that most would last more than an hour!

Let me give you a clue; that does NOT just happen in the inner cities...it happens in suburbs where students are assaulting teachers, other students, they disrupt the instruction of other students AND they are not punished nor removed from the classrooms!

It's all over the public school systems in America. It is not just in inner cities.

That's why parents should be allowed to have vouchers to place their children in schools (private, parochial, charter, virtual, etc) of their CHOICE. Stop making parents send their children to schools where there are NO consequences for aggressive, disruptive students. They are coddled.

WE DO NOT WANT OUR CHILDREN IN PUBLIC SChOOLS WHicH ALLOW DISRUPTIVE CHILDREN TO ATTEND!

If RAHM and BARACK can send their children to CHARTER schools-by passing their local CHICAGO public school-then other NON-elite parents need HELP-and that should come in the form of VOUCHERS FOR ALL PARENTS!

THIS is the problem: BAD teachers allowed to teach and who are NOT fired.

That's because of the teachers' union PROTECTING BAD TEAHCERS. It happens in every school sytem. It exposes children to ineffective teachers.

An example:
http://www.startribune.com/investigators/9320...

Do you want your child, grandchild being taught by a teacher for an entire year who was deemed to be INEFFECTIVE?

Do you want that child to experience and lose out of a whole year of education, so that 'ineffective' teacher, HOPEFULLY, gains skills (which SHOULD have been taught in college) to effectively teach?

CHILDREN SHOULD NEVER BE PENALIZED FOR AN INEFFECIVE TEACHER!

Allow principals and administrators (who let's face it: were complicit in HIRING that 'ineffective' teacher and who FAILEd to get rid of that 'ineffective' teacher) allow them to get rid of that teacher quickly and let the children experience a good teacher. There are PLENTY OF THEM!

It's time for teachers to demand that ineffective teachers be canned. Good teacher have nothing to worry about. Most teachers are capable. It's the LOUSY teachers who ruin it for the good teachers and devastate the learning of our children.

Get OUT of your union! WITHDRAW! Good teachers will NOT lose their jobs!

WE MUST rid the educational system of poor teachers.

GOOD TEACHERS GET OUT OF THE UNIONS!
