Who started affirmitive action and why?

Affirmative action began as a policy to ensure EQUAL consideration in hiring, etc - not as a Special Privileges plan. Equality of opportunity, not results

How do you think a semi-retarded race hustling dope smoker like Obama got into college to begin with?
Why do you think he refuses to release his college transcripts for?

Time to eliminate affirmative action now tht America showed it was willing to vote for a black president.
Affirmative action was only temporary to assist black americans getting leg up. They've had close to 50 years to catch up.
The biggest problem is welfare which holds blacks back. If you don't get rid of it as a lifestyle choice for welfare parents, their kids will never be able to make past welfare themselves. Affirmative action is useless as most drop out.
You might say affirmative action is needed for US citizens since illegals get all the jobs now.

Is is not equal consideration, the first real job I applied for 30 years ago had an affirmative action plan in place to deal with past discrimination by discrimination against me. Job opportunities were handed out based on a numerical test score measuring job related skills. I scored 218 out of about 1200 applicants. The first wave of hiring (80) employees whipped out all the blacks ahead of me on the list and brought in some behind me who were by score deemed less qualified that I for the job. I way young had nothing to do with discriminating against anyone and did not deserve to be passed over. After the first group was hired they has a formula where they would hire the highest qualified person by score and then skip down to the highest scoring black candidate no matter how many people they had to skip over to fill the position. This experience formed a lifetime of racial viewpoints.
You can peddle your equal consideration BS to someone else. The slots should be handed out based on merit, otherwise you lower the bar for everyone. If you have a race problem you find out why a race is scoring lower and fix that problem not discriminate in order to address discrimination.
