The American Education System trys to categorize or track a student too early in their pre graduation careers. The problem isn't the student's fault it is the system AND teachers.

The reason the kids struggle is that the teachers struggle as well. Teachers in the public education system cannot trouble shoot a problem when a student is having a problem in their class. I'm not talking about conditions at home or health either. Academically American teachers suck at their jobs. They don't know the subject matter well enough to trouble shoot a student's problems.

The public education system presents material and offers some choices but they do not teach the subject. There's a reason a American students frequently lack in the basics like math and science and/or cannot even read or write. The way students are treated and tracked into a lower academic path prevents success. Without uniformity like standardized testing or taking the same subject matter the student is led to believe they will always will find their own niche never having to compete or learn to do difficult tasks.

HRs feed you this crap in the working world all the time-we want you to be happy at your job, the job should be the pay ie live to work when in fact most work to live. That's reality. People go to work for a paycheck. This means you are frequently going to have to do stuff you hate or have difficulty with. This is not taught in the schools. This stiffles thinking because students and teachers stay away from harder subject matter and technique that will help them progress. The teacher will label a student unable to do math or reading literally putting them into the short order cook track before high school for their convenience-not what is best for the student.

What to do with the student has taken precedent over how or what the student will be taught. The cycle repeats again and again especially in the public school system.
