Here is what needs to happen to this teacher. She should be fired, now. No administrative leave, no leave without pay, just fired and never allowed to teach again, or to be around children again. You cannot tell children who are 6 years old to go to the bathroom before a test and not expect at least a few to discover that they have to go once the test starts. The little girl probably, and I'm betting this is what happened, didn't even need to go until she started testing and the nerves got the best of her. Shame on this teacher and I'm using the word teacher because I cannot call her what I want to call her. And since these children don't do any actualy testing until grade 3, I think it was completely stupid and ill advised to give a class of kindergartners a test now that would in her words "equipped them with the ability to handle the stresses of this type of testing." Damn, the child couldn't even be expected to potty on demand, let alone master the nuances of taking standardized tests. This teacher, again, using the word in place of something else, needs to be handed her walking papers and if I were the parent of this child, I would be on the steps of the school and in touch with local media every single day until she leaves town.

Heck lady: have some compassion for the stress on the teacher - not just the emotional trauma the child was put through ! In my country they would tell her to take a paid loa until any public outcry subsided. Teachers cannot be fired for being idiots you know- at least in this country- and they are paid much more with far lr student ratios than in USA. Dont'cha know- Obama likely could not handle such stress !!!! Oh well- blame the children and the parents and the crows in the Roca jungle- NEVER a teacher- heck- 7 year old boys are seducing adult female teachers- more danger than a military confrontation in the middle east I think !!!
