Tell Shippensburg's President Ruud to give up his taxpayer funded house on campus and pay for his housing out of his salary. He got a $7,114 a year pay raise in January, boosting his pay to $206,196.

Of course. College professors do way less work than public school teachers, get paid twice as much, and still whine about it not being enough.

I agree.

The media has got to start shining a light on the bloated salaries and benefits of college professors. Their scheduled working hours are so low it would make a hobo envious.

And their collective lack of humility contributes to their never ending rationalizations to justify their undeserved elitist status. It's not the business moguls, as such, that will doom our country, it's the arrogance that persists in our colleges and universities that ultimately contaminates it's graduates..

What's the ratio of students at SU to total employees? Will the faculty, administrators, and coaches take a salary cut to help their budget situation?

The faculty could easily absorb two additional classes per week to provide for reducing the teaching staff by up to perhaps 30-40 percent.

Increasing class sizes would also help reduce the number faculty required.

Taxpayers aren't paying to bus every child to the unconstitutional private charter school of their choosing.

Which part of the Pa. State Constitution can't these Republicans read or comprehend ?

Public School System
Section 14.

The General Assembly shall provide for the maintenance and support of a thorough and efficient system of public education to serve the needs of the Commonwealth.

Public School Money Not Available to Sectarian Schools

Section 15.
No money raised for the support of the public schools of the Commonwealth shall be appropriated to or used for the support of any sectarian school. C. National Guard
