You've said that office workers make twice as much, but that doesn't make it true. I've posted data that proves they make more.
What same sacrafices? You may be making sacrafices, but when you start insisting that others make sacrafices because you are it reeks of liberal madness. We've already established that the "rest" are not making sacrafices.
I never said office workers make twice as much, I've said they (the ones I know - including in CA) make as much or less than educators and educators only work 10 months a year.

We've never established that the 'rest' of us are not making sacrifices. All the taxpayers I know are getting benefit cuts, pay freezes, furlough days - yet educators are getting yearly raises (regardless of the job done), job security (again regardless of the job done) and a much healthier health care package. Why do you feel that educators shouldn't make the same sacrifices as the taxpayers who subsidize them?

I'm not denying that you said it, but you saying it doesn't make it true. I can say the sky is purple, but that doesn't make it true.

Teachers in Orange County do not get automatic raises, and there is no job security. I've shown you the contract, it's in writing that these things do not exist and yet you still want to claim they do.

If you would, please post the contract again - I haven't found it on this board.

Republicans will never demand that private schools give the FCAT and have the scores posted all over the headlines the way they do public schools.
Can you picture Belen's scores on the FCAT? If the 10th grade FCAT is just basic reading comprehension, then Belen would skew the curve and be in the 99th percentile easily.

I'll agree to vouchers when everyone allows the Hare Krishnas to open a school and radical Islamists to open a madrasa. Let's have a Hare Krishna school on every street corner.
If they can teach their kids to read and write and do math and at the same time lower my taxes, then I am all for it.
