Why does Corbett's budget call for $32,102 per year to be spent on out prison inmates while only spending $4,952 per year on our students? Corbett needs to be stopped!

Education is an easy target. Many people join the band wagon of hate, because they have been given so much anti education propaganda, it has become harder and harder to distinguish between fact and fiction. Corbett hails from the lebanon valley area, a staunch conservative stronghold. Corbett also has a teaching degree. He was not sucessful with it and found out it was easier and faster to move up the economic/social ladder through politics. I said in november that corbett would ruin education if elected. And so it has begun. The ignorant, ill informed or just plain spiteful people are supporters of his and his alignment with the gas industry. Short of a recall, corbett's wrath toward education (like his obese twin christie) will cut deeper. We will be so far behind in the world that we may never fully recover. Now I know the right wingers will say I am clueless, but time will prove out corbetts corruption, his distain for education and his arrogance toward the middle class, to be devastating for pennsylvanians. What we are seeing is a republican plot to dismantle education, unions, pensions and everything that the middle class holds essential. So many have been sucked into their mantra as being a tax watchdog. Have your taxes differed. NO. What you will see is higher fuel pricing, higher service costs, and the upper class getting richer. Soon, even the fools who believe in christie/corbett will get bitten. By then it will be too late to say I told you so.

Corbett doesn't realize what education entails and the actions he is taking will make a signicifcant difference in the way studetns are taught and prepared for the future. Right now with budget cuts I am closely aware of the school I taught at and let me tell you the changes in staffing are going to hurt. Teachers who have excelled at their postions are being eliminated, some are being encouraged to retire and others are being moved because of cuts in various grade levels and programs. In summary, the actions being taken are not the actions that principals would make to be an effective school. The touhest thing is being clind-sided by a Gov. who cuts the blood flow into the school with one speech.. All that was accomplished for the past years is wiped out because of an election. You mean he became Gov. so he could run the educational program for the state. Did he campaign this way??? Let's cut the funding to Wall St. investors and bankers that Pa must pay for outstanding loans. Cut their amounts by 8%. When you are friends of the wealthy, this is what occurs. Education does make up a large chunk of the state budget but this has been the case for years and acutally has lessened from the 50% to currently about 48%.
