I went to Missouri Military Academy for junior high and high school - - 6 years, give or take almost 5,000 meals - - and never saw anyone having food witheld as punishment. Students who misbehaved were required to attend study hall and/or do light work (raking, sweeping, etc.) during regularly scheduled free time on Wednesday afternoon, Friday evening, and Saturday afternoon. Even students with discipline problems were given free time on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
