Understanding The Governor's School Voucher Proposal

Some in Harrisburg are calling Governor Tom Corbett's low income school voucher program an "educational free market". Not everyone is on board, and for at least one school district, the superintendent will wait to see what becomes law in Harrisburg.

"It is an innovative concept. It is certainly shaking up the status quo. But I think many of us are tired of seeing year after year of millions of dollars going to these districts and not seeing the predicted level of academic achievement," said Republican State Representative Doug Reichley.

... and there you have it. Instead of building Taj Mahal buildings and pro-level sport complexes, let's give OUR tax dollars to children and allow them to shop for an educational institution that would meet their needs.
