1. Abolish NEA

2. Close all public schools

3. Issue vouchers to all parents

4. Let the free market let it do what it was intended to do

5. Competition, not big government oversight, improves education

Problem solved

@UtGM,

I've disagreed with nearly everything you've written this morning, then you go and post something that i agree with 100%.

Just goes to show how bad a two party political system is.

Now go post some more stuff i can sit back and shake my head at while i sip my morning coffee.

Vouchers? Really? A. How is that fair to the parents who ACTUALLY work hard and struggle financially to put their kids though 12 years of private education? and B. The State has this much extra money floating around that they can send a limited amount of kids to private schools, out of pity? How about investing that money to upgrade the schools these kids "should" be going to so that they can join their prospective classmates in a safe, clean, state of the art environment? Way too logical evidently. Another brilliant decision I see.

The addition to the somalian and mexican students has affected the test scores which has given the schools a failing grade. Also non-CARING teachers does'nt help either.

My kids are educated like I am. They will make decisions based on what THEY think is best, not what I tell them to think or believe. Thanks though for trying to belittle me and my parenting. My point was the money should be used to provide for all of the children in less fortunate areas by upgrading the existing districts, rather than giving it the private schools for a select few children. Read what people say before trying to respond on a whim. Please return to East High School for the classes on getting a clue that you evidently missed.
